13, 2020, DJI published information on its blog about the impact of the new EU law that will come into force 31 December 2020, for DJI drones in the EU and Iceland, Norway, Switzerland and the UK.
You can read the full text on the DJI Blog CLICK – is titled “Decoding New European Drone Regulations and DJI Product Compliance”. Although the strice entry concerns the DJI Enterprise series (professional industrial drones), a lot of information concerns solutions that the manufacturer can implement also for commercial drones (Phantom, Mavic, Inspire, etc. .)
First, DJI ensures that these drones can still fly legally after the new year because have already (partially) adapted to the new requirements. This is evidenced by the implementation of such systems in Matrice 300 RTK or Mavic 2 Enterprise drones as: remote identification, ADS-B receiver and more (for the M300 RTK it is also additional redundancy of IMU, compass, barometer and omnidirectional radar that detects obstacles).
